Scope
The Rural City of Wangaratta engaged OLEX to complete the construction of a shared pathway and culvert. The aim was to realign the existing pathway, to move pedestrians and cyclists away from the highway edge over the roadway culvert.
Challenge
Timing of construction, heading into winter and the construction of a culvert in a floodway.
Solution
The base and structure was poured and then a weather event caused an inundation of the site, which was controlled as well as possible ensuring that the floodway was not impeded.
