Scope
O’LEX Civil were engaged by the Rural City of Wangaratta (Partly in conjunction with Vic Roads) to complete an upgrade to the intersetion of Wangaratta-Whitfield Rd and Mansfield-Whitfield Rd, along with a full drainage and streetscape reconstruction.
Challenge
Whitfield already has a significantly high rainfall year-on-year, however during the construction period the area received over 1000mm extra rainfall, and combined with ground water issues presented a large challenge for OLEX Crews.
Solution
Depsite the rain and many design / scope changes to mitigate service clashes OLEX Completed this project under budget, some key f igures were: 3500m2 of pavement reconstruction, 1200lm of kerb, 1850m2 of footpath and driveways, 700lm of drainage pipes.
