Scope
As part of the High-Risk, High-Speed Rual Intersections Targeted Road Safety Works Program the Department of Transport and Planning engaged O’LEX Civil to construct the truncation of the intersection of Numurkah Road, Sandmount Road and Hendy’s Road in Katunga.
Challenge
Traffic Management was major factor in the planning of this project as it required 24 hour traffic lights across a number of roads. Also a significant challenge was the subgrade where the road widening on Numurkah Rd was to be constructed as this was originally the roadside swale drain.
Solution
OLEX through careful planning and execution overcame the challenges and delivered a high quality intersection on time and on budget.
