Yarrawonga - burramine shared Pathway

Scope

O’LEX Civil were engaged by Moira Shire Council to construct the 13.3km sealed shared pathway from Yarrawonga to Burramine along the Murray Valley Highway, and included the installation of 15 culvert crossings, 12 rural road crossings and 1 major highway crossing.

Challenge

Project constraints included the construction through native trees and grasses, cultural heritage areas, and involved interactions with Local Council, GMW, Land Owners, RRV Roads, Powercor, Indigenous Groups

Solution

The construction was made challenging with significant rain events, lack of road reserve drainage, and some poor subgrade conditions, OLEX were able to work with MSC to overcome these obstacles and still deliver the project on time and under budget.
