Scope
O’LEX Civil were engaged by the Rural City of
Wangaratta to construct a 430m shared cycle
pathway including box culverts and driveway
crossings on the Milawa-Bobinawarrah Road
along side Brown Brothers Vinyard in Milawa as
part of the Prosecco Road Funding Program.
Challenge
Some key constraints of the project were the
extremely close proximity to a large vineyard,
and involved interactions with Local Council,
Land Owners, Power Authorities.
Solution
The construction was made challenging with
significant rain events, lack of road reserve
drainage, and some poor subgrade conditions,
OLEX were able to work with Rural City of
Wangaratta to overcome these obstacles and
still deliver the project on time and under
budget.
