From humble beginnings, O’LEX has grown to be a reliable, ‘go-to’ civil contractor that gets the job done safely, on time and without fuss.
In 2008, Dwane & Donna O’Loughlin embarked on a journey to build a business that portrayed their own life fundamentals – quality and value. Armed with a Mitsubishi Tipper and bobcat skidsteer they set about creating their business.
In the first 12 months, which was mainly focused on civil works for the building industry doing house slabs and site works, demand grew very quickly. A sub contractor was permanently engaged, and within another 6 months the first full-time employee was onboarded.
Dwane & Donna soon decided to branch out into larger civil works with local shires and then for Vic Roads. From here, the landscape of the business changed forever. In 2010 the fleet expanded with the purchase of the first excavator and again in 2015 when the first grader was purchased.
In 2023, the company underwent a rebranding and this is where O’LEX Civil as the business is known today started. The company employs over 25 staff and has in excess of 55 vehicles, trucks and major plant items.
